Sustainable

Sustainability is an attitude to life.

For kultkind®, sustainability stands for fair, ecologically thought-out clothing, quality and comfort. We pay great attention to the origin and production of the materials used by kultkind®. That’s why we only use cotton-soft, GOTs-certified cotton from controlled organic cultivation (kbA). The yarns and buttons we use are also GOTs certified. All other materials in the collection comply with the Oeko-Tex Standard 100.

From the design, the production and the print products – everything takes place regionally.

The models in the collection are super combinable with each other, so we talk about a Capsule Wardrobe. Minimalist design that grows with you and the exceptionally high quality of the workmanship guarantee that you and your little ones will enjoy it for a long time.

But the topic of sustainability does not end there for kultkind®. We have also paid attention to sustainability with our server provider, the bank, all printed products, the packaging and the shipping service provider.

The fabrics and yarns we use come from controlled organic cultivation. These materials are subject to strictcriteria and controls. These materials are subject to strictcriteria and controls.

The certified fabrics used by kultkind® do not allow genetically modified organisms and enzymes. This means that the materials used are safer.

The use of pesticides and fertilisers is prohibited in the GOTS certified materials used by kultkind®. The further processing of the fabrics is subject to strict criteria to prevent human toxicity.

Our producers guarantee to comply with the core standards of the International Labour Organisation. This means that child labour and forced labour are prohibited. Workers are subject to labour, wage and working time protection.

All processes take into account environmental aspects and the goal of being CO2-neutral. This also applies to shipping and the materials used there.

kultkind® looks at the organic cultivation of cotton, the further processing of cotton and the production of packaging materials also under the aspect of water consumption.

The design, cutting and production of our collection takes place in Germany and Spain. This allows us to participate in and support the production process in the best possible way. In this way we can guarantee the highest quality.

The organic materials we select for the production of our baby clothes are all certified. The organic fabrics are all GOTS certified and the haberdashery is OEKO-TEX certified. This means that all materials are subject to strict testing procedures and give us the assurance that they are non-toxic and harmless to the sensitive skin of babies.

Among all the other aspects mentioned above, sustainability for kultkind® also means that our collection is timeless and can be combined with each other. Our designs grow with your baby before they can be passed on. We pay attention to the highest quality in all materials used as well as in the production.

The design and cutting is done in a traditional way, just like the cutting of our patterns. This is how we get our unique fit. kultkind® works with local specialised craftsmen who practice their craft with passion and love.

The packaging materials used by kultkind® are recyclable, biodegradable and made from FSC certified renewable resources. Furthermore, for each of our orders of packaging material, the manufacturer arranges for a tree to be planted.
